OHL Inspection Services
Project Brief
To provide Overhead Line Inspection services on ENW networks within Lancashire and Cumbria. Whilst our scope is predominantly on the overhead line networks up to 33kV, LSTC also secured inspection works associated with the LV cable feeds and surface wiring.
Challenges
The principal challenge for these works is focussed on the annual inspection volumes. Our experienced inspection team has a wealth of knowledge of the ENW region and through careful meticulous planning, the volumes allotted are completed by the end of each year. LSTC’s management team continually monitors the inspection team’s daily outputs to ensure on-time delivery with safety and quality at the forefront of our operations.
Our Approach
From the outset, LSTC’s management team has worked closely with ENW’s contract team to fully integrate our inspection teams to ensure a successful outcome. This synergy between both parties has always seen a healthy and positive approach, with both parties having a common goal in mind.
Project Outcome / Deliverables
Since January 2017, LSTC has undertaken the following works:
- Condition-Based Assessment (CBA) Inspections – over 1275km
- Pole Top Camera Inspections (PTI) – over 9300 structures
