Junior CAD Technician and Mapping Data Processor

Job purpose:

To provide various support to the relevant department team to enable the production of high-quality deliverables from incoming survey/mapping data.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

Process incoming data

Use a combination of Microsoft Excel and purpose-built software to process and tidy incoming data to produce and check appropriate outputs in the relevant formats.

 Use CAD packages to create vectorised information

Use a combination of CAD packages e.g. Microstation/AutoCAD/ArcGIS and others, to create geo-spatial points, linework, and annotations.

Liaise with 3rd parties and keep records of incoming data

Contact various 3rd parties and vendors, log responses, keep and update records and follow document management procedures.

 Create and update schedules

Use Microstation Excel to generate and update various schedules.

Update and maintain office policies and procedures

Follow, update and, where applicable, maintain LSTC policies in line with future developments and alterations to workflows as and when required.

Self-Development

Be open to continuous development by taking on new challenges and learning new skills

Attend and support team meetings.

Quality Systems and Health & Safety

Adhere to LSTC’s QSHS policies and procedures.

General and in line with your working hours

You may be required to carry out works for other LSTC departments.

Carry out reasonable duties as directed by the managers/directors.

Contribute within the Company to our Health and Safety culture.

Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers.

Build an outstanding working relationship with LSTC teams and Clients.
