Overhead Line Design & Consultancy

LSTC has a long history of delivering Overhead Line (OHL) design and consultancy support to all the UK transmission and distribution operators, as well as detailed designs to the leading OHL contractors.

As Front End Engineering Design (FEED) consultants, we have wide-ranging experience in producing high-quality design studies from the conceptual stage to full design development. We are also familiar with the current requirements of the consent process for new projects and have supported our clients in producing designs and associated drawings for a number of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP) which require Development Consent Orders (DCO).

Working for OHL contractors we also provide design support for the construction stage. A skilled team of draughtsmen and draughtswomen are able to produce a full range of engineering drawings including accurate structure models to generate detailed drawings for material fabrication and construction.

Our experienced and dedicated staff are able to offer support for any size of the project at any voltage. We use industry-specific design and detailing software as well as in-house developed programs to maximise efficiency. Our rigorous QA procedures ensure our deliverables are of the highest quality.
